Management of Building Electricity Consumption

Did you know that the office buildings consume about 40% of its energy after working hours? About 30% of energy usually is wasted in vain during the working hours as well, for example, when lights are left switched on in empty rooms where there are no people, or rooms are heated and ventilated equally as in those where people are working. There are special platforms for monitoring, analysis and management of energy consumption which provide detailed information on climatic conditions in a separate office premise.

The system consists of wireless sensors, which serve also as intelligent switches. The platform can control energy consumption and status of climate in office premises remotely.

Urban wind power-plant

New and smaller wind power plants allow expansion of wind energy systems in urban places that means to supply power directly to homes and buildings. Wind powers designed for urban area where the average wind speed is low and start when the wind speed is 3 to 5 meters per second. The capacity of such wind power-plants is 100 W to 50 kW and is perfect as additional power supply for small buildings.

Rainwater utilization

Rain water for watering flowerbeds, washing streets and car allows you to save considerable amount of money, for example, the average annual rainfall during the warm season is 0.5 m3 per 1 m2, the price of water is approximately 4.5 LTL/m3, the roof area of a building is 2000 m2, the cost of collected rainwater is approximately 2000 * 0.5 * 4.5 = 4500LT per year. While renovating old houses or building new ones, rainwater can be used for flushing toilets.
